I am not really a big valentines day person – I mean (avert your eyes!) EVERY DAY is valentines day with my sweet mister. But I think it should be a tiny bit special for the kiddles – and this year maybe I went a little v-day happy!
I made sugar cookies and learned a new icing technique (outline and flood), and then made Mike sit down with me to make valentines day cards for the boys. They’re at our house overnight tonight, so when they wake up tomorrow they’ll have some treats waiting for them.
I’m blogging a photo a day for the month of February. You should too! #29in29
Love this! I remember making all kinds of goodies for my wee girl. I always make sure I get something special for her and her daddy always brings her chocolate and flowers. Mommy of course gets special treats too! Those cookies look fabulous and the cards are so cute! Happy Valentines Day!
it’s so nice for kids to wake up and have a surprise, especially before heading off to school! Mike and I made each other quick “scrap” valentines, too, with the odds and ends.
Aww, what sweet looking Valentines 🙂
You did a great job on those cookies!
We’re big on givin’ “love” everyday here, too – but it is sweet to share the sentiment anyway on the 14th. Hope your day is filled with hugs and kisses.
the cookies were a big experiment – normally I am of the imprecise “it’s all going to the same place anyway” school of baking. it turned out really well!
I hope you’ve got lots of hearts galore in your home too today!
